#1 You don't have to have a BillionGraves account to search for a cemetery, but if you do have one, log in to BillionGraves.com. 

#2 Click the blue button labeled Search BillionGraves (upper right-hand corner of the home page).

#3 Click Cemetery Search (right side).

#4 Fill in the Search by Cemetery or Location box (upper left-hand corner). 

#4a Click on the pin after typing in the name of the cemetery

#4b Fill in the Country, State, County, and City boxes (Not all countries have counties, but if they do, this will give you a more specific search.)

#4c  Click Filter By Location

#4d  Scroll out from the large screen to see a list of cemeteries below

#5 Press the Enter or Return key.

#6 Click a blue, green, or orange cemetery icon for more cemetery information.

#7 Click the cemetery name to access the BillionGraves cemetery page.


Location Search Examples 

Here are some examples of ways you can enter information in the "Search by Cemetery or Location" box.


Cemetery name: Greenwood Cemetery

Cemetery location (city): Columbia, TN or Columbia, Tennessee

Cemetery location (county): Maury County

What if a cemetery search gets no results? 

Be patient if it is a large area with many cemeteries it may take a moment to load. You will notice the Loading Cemeteries Icon at the bottom of the page.


Broaden Your Search:

#1 Search by city (e.g., Fairview, UT, Madison, WI).

#2 Still no results? Search by county (e.g., Sanpete County, Maricopa County).

#3 Click on the minus button in the right-hand corner to magnify the map, which will widen your search results.
