When someone would like to have a photo taken of their ancestor's gravestone, but it is far from their own home, they can place a photo request. Then someone else may take the photo for them.

NOTE: You will be able to help a LOT more people if you take photos of every headstone row-by-row until you have completed the entire section or the entire cemetery than you would in the same amount of time hunting for a headstone to fulfill a photo request. But if you would still like to fulfill a photo request, here's how:

BillionGraves website:

#1 Log in to BillionGraves.com.

#2 Hover over Research on the main menu.

#3 Click Cemetery Search.

#4  Look for cemeteries in your area with an orange pin with a question mark.

#5 Click on the pin.

#6 Click on the name of the cemetery.

#7 Click on the tab labeled Volunteer. It is below the name of the cemetery.

#8 Scroll down to Photo Requests.

On the App with an iOS smartphone:

#1 Click Find Cemeteries.

#2 Click on a nearby cemetery with an orange pin. Or you may type in the name of a cemetery.

#3 Click on the name of the cemetery.

#4 Click on photo requests.
