The "Birth or Death Year" boxes are the third set of boxes in the third and fourth fields on the right-hand side of the transcription form.

• Enter the year of birth in the field.

• If no year of birth is listed, leave the field blank.

• If you can read some but not all of the numbers in the birth year, enter your best guess.

How do I do this?

Step 1: Type in the birth or death year. In this form, the birth year is 1872 and the death year is 1926.

Step 2: Click on the tab button. (This will take you to the next box in the form.)
