The "marriage date" box when chosen, will appear under the boxes for the date of death. 


Once the boxes have been added to the form, click on the first box in this section, Day:


  • Select the arrow to see a dropdown menu. Select the day of marriage listed.


  • Or type the day of marriage in the field.


Next, click on the second box in this section, Month:


  • Select the arrow to see a dropdown menu. Select the month of marriage listed.


  • Or type the month of marriage in the field.


Finally, click on the third box in this section, Year:


  • Select the arrow to see a dropdown menu. Select the year of marriage listed.


  • Or type the year of marriage in the field


**To change the order of the dates, go to the bottom of the form and select “form settings”. In the “date order” section, select the dropdown arrow to choose from “Month-Day-Year” or “Day-Month-Year”.




There are two methods to add the marriage date to the form. 


Method 1: To permanently add marriage dates to all transcriptions


Step 1: To add a marriage date, to the transcription currently being worked on, and all future transcriptions, choose the "form settings" box under the transcription form. Once the marriage date is chosen, the marriage date boxes will appear under the date of death boxes on the transcription form each time you transcribe an image.  


Step 2: Type in the marriage date, month, and year; select the tab button in between each of the fields to advance. 



Method 2: To add a prefix to the current transcription form


Step 1: To add a marriage date to the transcription in the current form only, choose the "add more information" button. Once chosen, in this format, it will appear under the date of death boxes for the current transcription.  


Step 2: Type in the marriage date, month, and year; select the tab button in between each of the fields to advance.
