Why are some headstones linked together?

Headstones are to be linked together if they are on the same monument with multiple sides, or if there is a family plot with the last name on one stone and individual names scattered around the large family name stone.  These types of stones are very common throughout the world.

How do I transcribe linked stones with multiple photos?

The following link is an example of what this may look like Riddle Family of Delaware

The Riddle Family is buried under one monument with all of the names and headstones surrounding the monument.

To transcribe these types of stones, follow these directions:

Start with the first image in the series of photos.  The multiple-image series will be small photos in the left-hand lower portion of your screen.  The image currently being displayed on the large screen will have an orange border around the image. The orange border is to tell the user which photo is currently on display.

1. Type in the form what you see in the image.  If there are multiple people in the image follow directions on how to fill out the form for multiple individuals. Choose "done" when finished. This image will now have a checkmark in the corner showing that it has been viewed by the user.

2. Choose the second photo in the multiple-image series of photos.  It will now have an orange border around it. It will also now display a checkmark showing that it has been viewed.  Choose "Add Person".  Type in what is being displayed on the second image. Choose "done" when finished.

3. For each additional image, follow the same directions as above, choosing "done" between each set of images.

4. For notes and epitaphs please type in the name of each individual and then their information.  (The form only has one notes section and one epitaph section, so if there is multiple information on multiple individuals, you will need to type in the name of each person so that it stays individualized.)

Here is what the Riddle Family Epitaph looks like as this is a multiple-sided monument:
