When a grave looks like this one, and there is no surname to be found, please leave these blank. 


You  may ask why?  When the word "unknown" or a "?" is placed in the surname box, the database will assume this is the last name.  It will go under the names that start with "u" in the index. This makes it hard, if the cemetery is large, to see that another photo needs to be taken. 


We came to this decision after much discussion with our technical staff. This isn't an ideal situation, and we hope that we can create some better solutions for this in the future.
